Restaurant Maintenance Technician

Job Summary - Full Time Opportunity. A maintenance technician is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and repairing building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, window and door screens, flooring material, gutters, drains, basic grounds upkeep and maintenance duties involving carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs to guarantee that the restaurants are properly and safely maintained.

Job Duties and Responsibilities - Duties include performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and quality of building conditions in a commercial environment. Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs. Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters, and drains. Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment and related systems. Basic grounds upkeep required. (Full lawn service is outsourced.) Knowledge of general maintenance requirements (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.). Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements. Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.). Professional customer service skills. Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level. Time management and time-critical prioritization skills. Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player.

Education and Experience - High School Diploma or GED Required 

3 - 5 years of experience in repair and maintenance

Working Conditions - Typical outside and inside work environment (frequent standing, walking, lifting, and/or operating powered equipment using proper safety techniques or tools). Overtime may be required (on-call, weekends, 24-hour emergency, etc.)

• Must be able to travel to locations around Galveston and Friendswood

Job Type: 32-40 hours/wk.

Schedule: Schedule is variable depending upon needs, will include weekends and evenings occasionally. Also available to always answer calls and emails for urgent situations.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Maintenance: 3-5 years (Required)
