Electrical Controls Engineer III

The Electrical Engineer III position is a senior-level position collaborating with team members to design, develop, and test electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems. They apply mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs. The Electrical Engineer III performs testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards. Conducts simple to moderate research and studies on new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and leadership to junior members of the electrical design team.
• Constructs and completes an advanced electrical system schematic and Bill of Materials for complex equipment involving strong chemicals.
• Designs, develops, and tests electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems.
• Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs.
• Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved.
• Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products.
• Design for compliance with industry standards (NEC, UL, NFPA, CE, SEMI, etc).
• Approve and initialize the purchase parts specification process, working with the Materials team, ensuring all parts have adequate and cost-effective sourcing.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, And Education)

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years’ experience in electrical power systems design.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar CAD software and design vaults.
• Advanced knowledge of integrating electrical heaters, pumps, PLC’s, computers, and controllers.
• Advanced knowledge of common engineering concepts, practices, and industry standards.
• Excellent interpersonal, time management, and project management skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications
