Your responsibilities will involve interacting empathetically with clients, preparing their cases for trial, and engaging in negotiations with insurance companies to secure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical case reviews.
- Negotiate and settle cases during the pre-litigation stage or litigation stages.
- Review policies, claims, and other legal records to prepare for legal proceedings.
- Prepare, write, and argue legal documents including memos, liability theories, and demands.
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies and manage client medical treatments and billing.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on case status.
- Conduct intake meetings with new clients to assess and guide their cases.
- Manage a docket of cases in accordance with office policies.
- Conduct and attend Independent Medical Examinations (IME's), Examinations Under Oath (EUO's), and record statements.
- Uphold a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism throughout all processes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Must be currently licensed in the state of Ohio and in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in personal injury law is required.
- Experience in medical malpractice is preferred.
- Possess strong negotiation, communication, and writing skills.
- Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills are necessary.
- Demonstrable strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively through both verbal and written electronic correspondence.
- Analytics skills with keen attention to detail are essential.
- Must be capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
