What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at JEVS Care at Home?
JEVS Care at Home is a non-profit organization that provides non-medical homecare services to those in need throughout several areas of Pennsylvania. It is our mission to deliver industry leading in-home care through recruiting, empowering and investing in the growth of our Caregivers.
Our Gettysburg team is in need of full-time and part-time Caregivers to work day shifts, evening shifts, and overnight shifts in Gettysburg, New Oxford, East Berlin, and Blue Ridge Summit. Ideal candidates will have a passion for helping others, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to perform a variety of tasks to ensure the well-being and comfort of our clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist clients in their homes with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming), light housekeeping, food shopping, meal preparation, medication reminders and laundry
- Follow client care plan to assist client(s) with all required daily needs
- Offer companionship and supervision
- Report to Client Care Manager regarding direction of care, client updates, concerns, and scheduling

- Job Training: Paid training provided as needed for specific client care, including CPR/AED training and Dementia Capable Care training
- Care Support: You will have a Client Care Manager available for support and questions regarding your client(s)
- 24/7 On-call support
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must have professional or personal experience with providing personal care, companionship and activities of daily living with adults.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to effectively communicate with assigned Client Care Manager
- Must complete JEVS Care at Home written exam and orientation program successfully
- Must pass background check/clearances as required by state regulations
