What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meat Cutter/Journeyman position at Jewel-Osco?
Part-time/FT employment available with evening and weekend hours required. Online application must be completed at www.jewelosco.com. If offered a position, pre-employment background check required. Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service.
- Has ability to recognize, cut, grind, slice and tenderize all varieties of fresh meat.
- Handles food in a safe manner and ensures department is clean, sanitary, fresh and full.
- Rotates stock, stocks cases, and places product in the coolers and freezers.
- Weighs, dates, labels and wraps fresh meat.
- Produces fresh ground beef and pork as service levels designate. Completes ground meat log after every grind.
- Tenderizes beef or pork as requested.
- Cleans all Department utensils, equipment, merchandising tables and cases, food preparation surfaces, floors, doors, and walls according to sanitation schedule and standards.

Pay: $12.25 - $21.80 per hour
