Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS EC2 instances for optimal performance and cost efficiency.
- Develop and manage Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) to support scalable deployments.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
- Design containerized solutions for applications, ensuring efficient orchestration and scaling.
- Implement best practices for container security, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Develop and manage serverless solutions using AWS Lambda for event-driven architecture.
- Optimize Lambda functions for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Design and implement disaster recovery strategies and backup solutions in AWS.
- Perform regular DR drills to ensure readiness and minimize recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO).
- Create and manage infrastructure using tools like CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform.
- Automate provisioning, scaling, and configuration of resources using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other tools.
- Continuously optimize cloud resources for performance, reliability, and cost.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to align cloud solutions with business goals.
