Summary
Provides excellent service to policyholders, agents, adjusters, and coworkers over the phone and through written communication. Researches, reviews, prepares initial gathering of information for the Underwriting team to review and determine acceptable risk. Provides follow-up as necessary. Consistently meets expectations for quality, accuracy, and timeliness. Works closely with Personal Lines Underwriters, jewelers, agents and policyholders to fulfill customer and business requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensures a level of customer service that meets and exceeds customer expectations over the phone and through written communication.
- Examines individual applicants for insurance, reviews such documents as, but not limited to, applications, questionnaires, adjuster reports, and financial statements to set up or issue new business or policy modifications.
- Helps review, follow up, setting up of accounts and may process agency business under the guidance of an Underwriter.
- Coordinates and manages relationships with field adjusters which include initial contact, follow up, gathering of reports and ensuring invoices for services are paid in a timely manner.
- Evaluates and takes action on necessary pre-renewal directions for vault coverage, closed claims and CAR reports.
- Delivers on commitments to internal and external customers by providing follow-up and follow-through.
- Responds to inquiries from jewelers, agents and current or prospective insured parties.
- Excels in accuracy and quality and views these skills as critical to the success of ongoing relationships with our customers and coworkers.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) minimum requirement, with some college or college degree preferred
- Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- General insurance and jewelry industry knowledge gained through courses and continuing education are helpful.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
