Summary
The Cyber Security Intern will work within the Information Security Team receiving a broad range of cybersecurity experience, while collaborating closely with IT Infrastructure and application development teams on security improvement initiatives and vulnerability remediation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Security event triage and Incident Response (Responding to security incidents)
- Cybersecurity Engineering (how security toolsets connect to help keep JM safe)
- MS Defender ecosystem
- Web Proxies
- MS Entra ID
- Fundamentals in Identity and Access Management (IAM/G)
- Vulnerability management and risk assessments
- Driving vulnerability remediation across technology assets
- Assessing and reporting risks
- Security awareness training

Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college undergraduate program in a relevant field: Cyber Security major or minor preferred
- Must be able to work full-time in Dallas, TX during the summer and potential opportunity to extend internship to work part-time during the school year
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Power shell
- Vulnerability assessment and/or Microsoft Defender tools experience
- Personable, Curious and Driven mindset
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls; and talk or hear.
