About This Role
We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Platform Product Manager to join our Data Platform team who is experienced, visionary and will lead the development and evolution of our next-generation data platform. The role will define and drive the vision for the underlying infrastructure and tools to enable a modern data platform that empowers discoverability, understanding, trust, access, use, and data sharing seamlessly. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a scalable, innovative solution that transforms how our organization creates value and leverages data.
What You’ll Do:
- Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate a clear data platform vision and roadmap, aligning with organizational goals.
- User-Centric Design: Advocate for data producers and consumers (e.g., software engineers, data engineers, analytics engineers, data scientists, and machine learning practitioners) by designing intuitive data discovery, accessible via APIs, and usage experiences.
- Data Platform Management: Lead the creation and management of data platform ensuring it is well-documented, trustworthy, and aligned with the needs of data platform stakeholders
- Metrics & Success: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure platform success and drive continuous improvement.
- Governance & Trust: Embed data quality, security, and compliance into the platform’s design to foster trust and accessibility across all data products.
- Leadership: Lead development efforts, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features and capabilities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for platform-related feedback, advocating for user needs and securing buy-in from leadership and teams.
- Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends in data platforms, data mesh, and analytics to incorporate cutting-edge practices and tools into the platform’s evolution.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5 years of experience as a Product Manager in data platforms, analytics, or enterprise software, with a track record of delivering user-focused products.
- Strong understanding of modern data architectures and experience with tools like SQL, AWS, Databricks, GCP, metadata and data pipelines.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable requirement for diverse stakeholders
- Experience defining and measuring KPIs (e.g. time-to-insight, data discoverability, adoptions rates) to drive data platform success.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Background in data analytics, data science, or data engineering.
- Knowledge of agile development processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
