- Great hours: Monday – Thursday 7:00 – 4:15 and Friday 7:00 to 12:00 (noon)
- Conduct hands-on training for new assemblers in electronic assembly techniques, including soldering (through-hole and surface mount), wiring, and component placement
- Certify and re-certify assemblers per IPC and company-specific quality standards
- Collaborate with Engineering to review and improve assembly documentation, work instructions, and build processes
- Provide feedback to Engineering regarding design for manufacturability (DFM) and training documentation
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues in assembly and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling procedures and cleanroom protocols (if applicable)
- Maintain and manage training records and certification logs
- Support prototype builds and new product introduction (NPI) efforts with Engineering
- Stay current on industry standards and recommend updates to training materials accordingly
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic assembly, including soldering and inspection
- Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) or Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) in J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 preferred
- Proven experience training or mentoring in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of electronic assembly drawings, schematics, and bill of materials (BOMs)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in an ISO-certified or regulated environment (e.g., aerospace, medical, or military)
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP systems
- Must be able to work in a cleanroom or ESD-controlled environment
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing assembly tasks
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs may be required
