We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Material Handler to assist in procuring electronic components and supporting various material-related tasks. This is a temporary position offering valuable experience in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor inventory levels, assess supply vendors, and ensure that delivered materials meet quality standards.
- Place orders with vendors, verify supplies, manage requisitions, and track expected delivery dates. Proactively communicate any potential delays with suppliers.
- Monitor project timelines, assess work quality against company specifications, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Prepare and maintain procurement records, including information on items/services, costs, deliveries, product quality, performance, and inventory.
- Resolve issues related to defective or unacceptable goods or services by working closely with inspection, quality control, users, vendors, and other stakeholders to identify the source and take corrective actions.
- Expedite open orders and address issues with suppliers who consistently experience delays.
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong computer skills are essential.
- Experience with MRP systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the Made 2 Manage ERP system is a plus.
