What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jewelry Television - Production Technical Director position at Jewelry Television?
In the TV Production Department as a Live Show Production Technical Director you will have the unique opportunity of being a part of a live, 24 / 7, studio environment. You will gain insight to the Live Show and gain a better understanding of how each area plays a part in the overall vision of the programming. This is a role that requires a leader, with good communication skills and a keen ability to think strategically and react quickly in an ever changing environment. The Live Show Production Technical Director must have solid technical skills and excellent dependability, as well as a willingness to adapt to the needs of the show.
This role does require relocation to the Knoxville, Tennessee area.
Day in the life :
- Execute live show content as determined by the producing team during pre-production utilizing the Grass Valley Kayak Switcher
- Give direction to the live show team in all technical aspects of the show
- Complete pre-production tasks for assigned show blocks as well as assist other directors for their shows
- Follow up with crew and talent after show block to solicit and provide feedback
- Conduct self reviews and production reviews with key members of staff
- Determine blocking for cameras on set prior to show working in conjunction with the lighting and backgrounds
- Perform other related duties as assigned
