What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Specialist - Part Time position at Jewett City Savings Bank?
If you love working with the public, have prior cashiering experience, and can quickly learn industry regulations, this may be the perfect job for you. This is a Part-Time position.
Customer Service Specialists:
- Serve our customers by processing deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, and cashing checks
- Create new deposit accounts, issue debit cards, update information on customer accounts, and assist customers with any questions or problems related to their accounts
- Maintain an accurately balanced cash drawer, uphold strict confidentiality standards and comply with federal regulations regarding monetary transactions.
No previous banking experience required. We offer a paid training program at our Jewett City office to teach you all the basics.
Job Requirements:
We require a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of customer contact and cash-handling experience. Other required skills include exceptional customer service, attention to detail, a positive attitude, and strong communication, organizational and computer skills.
Schedule:
- 20 hours/week

Regular schedule:
- Monday 10:30am - 3:30pm
- Tuesday 10:45am - 2:45pm
- Thursday 11:00am - 5:00pm
- Friday 11:00am - 5:00pm
- During the five-week training program, you will be expected to work approximately 30 hours per week Monday through Friday and may be scheduled to work as early as 7:45am, and work as late as 5:15pm.
