What You’ll Be Doing:
- Budgeting and Payments: Set up job budgets, process AIA requisitions and non-AIA invoices, and prepare weekly payment runs to keep projects on track.
- Job Costing: Assist the project manager with monthly job cost reviews and make sure job costs and reports are spot on.
- Vendor & AP Coordination: Stay on top of timely approvals, manage accounts payable, and keep communication flowing smoothly with internal and external customers.
- Compliance & Closeouts: Handle all compliance items, including lien waivers, retainage payments, and job closeout functions – making sure every detail is in place!
- Tech-Savvy Support: Input client requisitions into Sage300, perform Procore research, and assist the project manager team with any project-related inquiries and reporting.
- AR & Payment Monitoring: Manage customer payments, monitor aging AR, and ensure payments are posted correctly in Sage300.
- Accounting Accuracy: Reconcile GL, vendor statements, and credit card statements, and assist with month-end closing.
- Cross-Training: Help the team by cross-training in various accounting functions, giving you a broad understanding of the department.
- Special Projects: Assist the Senior Project Accountant and CFO with any special projects that come up – no two days are ever the same here!
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field (or relevant work experience)
- At least 1 year of construction accounting experience (bonus points for AIA billing knowledge!)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills – Excel Pivot Tables and V-Lookups are your friends
- Experience with Sage300, Procore, myCOI, and HH2 is a plus!
- Full-cycle Accounts Payable experience is preferred
