General Responsibilities
The Tenant Activities Coordinator is responsible for organizing and facilitating recreational, social, and educational activities for residents, with a strong focus on promoting socialization and community engagement. This role requires creativity, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with older adults to enhance quality of life.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides direct recreational activities for tenants.
- Encourages resident participation in local and community events and programs.
- Selects and supervises social and educational classes, ensuring they align with residents’ preferences and abilities.
- Maintains accurate financial records related to activities and events.
- Submits detailed monthly reports to the Property Manager summarizing activities, participation rates, and financial expenditures.
- Organizes resident trips, including scheduling, transportation, and resident safety.
- Performs other related tasks as requested or assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/ GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience working with older adults is strongly preferred.
- Background in organizing events or recreational activities is a plus.
- Must be computer literate, and willing to learn program-specific software.
- Good writing/record-keeping skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office is necessary.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Russian speaking a plus.
- Ability to maintain records, and prepare reports and correspondence related to the work.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
