What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Guard position at Jewish Association on Aging?
JOB SUMMARY:
The Security Guard is under the direct supervision of the Security Coordinator, and is responsible for protecting, safeguarding and insuring the security of the residents, families, staff, and visitors.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Providing excellent customer service to the residents and to coworkers by demonstrating respect and concern.
2. Performs routine indoor and outdoor rounds throughout the campus.
3. Investigates all incidents filed with the department.
4. Operates the phone system.
5. Coordinates with the other Security Guards and with outside contractor to ensure complete coverage.
6. Assists with all emergencies.
7. Trains and mentors new security staff.
8. Greets visitors in a friendly, enthusiastic, courteous, and helpful manner.
9. Maintains security for parking areas and entrances to insure smooth flowing traffic patterns and emergency preparedness.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
1. 2-5 years of experience in Security or a related field.
2. High school diploma or GED.
3. Must maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
