General Responsibilities :
The Executive Director of Home Care is responsible for the development, administration, and management of all JASA Home Care functions. The Executive Director of Home Care will formulate policy, interact with governmental regulatory agencies, and research and develop new home care programs. The Executive Director of Home Care is a member of the agency's executive staff and attends executive staff meetings. The role requires significant interaction with other JASA departments.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assumes professional leadership of JASA's Home Care program.
- Participates in professional and industry associations and stays abreast of policy developments and industry trends
- Establishes and maintains appropriate budgetary and fiscal controls in compliance with guidelines set by the Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel, and Chief Financial Officer.
- With the Chief Financial Officer, co-supervises Home Care's on-site Finance staff, with the Chief Financial Officer being the primary supervisor and the Executive Director of Home Care being the "dotted line" supervisor.
- Acts as liaison with government and other funding agencies and ensures compliance with regulations and contract provisions.
- Develops and coordinates plans for delivery of Home Care services in cooperation with other JASA departments. This involves significant interaction with Chief Program Officers, Senior Directors, Chief Business Development Officer, and Executive Director of Housing and Real Estate.
- Collaborates with external partners and vendors, as appropriate.
- With the Director of Business Development and Partnership, oversees Home Care-related personnel administration, including recruitment, screening, job descriptions, qualifications, certification for employment, salary determination, etc., for Home Health Aides and Health Care Assistants.
- With the Senior Director, Human Resources, provides supervision to HomeCare's on-site Personnel and Compliance Manager with the Senior Director, Human Resources being the primary supervisor and the Director of Home Care being the "dotted line" supervisor.
- Plans and executes in-service training programs.
- Supervises Home Care professional staff members.
- Performs other related tasks as requested or assigned.
