Position Summary :
JCCA is seeking qualified Social Workers to join our Residential Treatment Campus, offering a safe and supervised setting for at risk youth, ages 5-21. The Residential Treatment Campus is located in Pleasantville, NY and has (5) distinctive programs which provide intensive support to children with severe emotional and behavioral challenges.
The Social Worker will be hired for our START Program , serving children who need assessment, residential treatment and intensive intervention for a short period of time. The Social Worker will provide short-term therapeutic services, complete comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
Essential Job Duties :
- Clinical assessment of child and family service needs; initial and on-going trauma assessment and psychological summaries
- Develop a comprehensive written psychosocial summary within a 45 day period to include specific recommendations for permanency and on-going therapeutic intervention
- Collaborate regularly with childcare team and other clinical team members during crisis intervention
- Collaborating regularly with community resources (schools, mental health clinics, hospitals, family court, DSS, etc.)
- Attending case presentation conferences
- Conducting home assessments and attending court as needed
- Prepare FASPS, PHR's - attend court
- Documenting all evaluations and treatment in accordance with JCCA protocols and regulatory requirements
- Provide field work supervision for MSW / BSW internships
- Flexible hours - 35 hours per week
1 -2 late nights per week; weekends as needed
