POSITION SUMMARY
The Café Food Service Worker provides prompt, efficient and gracious service to all Cafe guests, including preparing food, beverages and snacks as ordered and giving correct change for cash transactions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Correctly open and or close the Cafe according to specified procedures
- Follow proper food preparation and safe food handling procedures
- Maintain accurate inventory of food, beverages, and supplies to accommodate business needs
- Follow all specified procedures to correctly handle all cash and credit card transactions and to process daily deposit report at each closing shift
- Monitor and execute all food and beverage orders and ensure the quality and appearance of the presentation
- Provide quality service to our guests
- Properly and safely use all machinery and equipment
- Maintain an orderly work area and a sanitary food production area
- Maintain cleanliness of indoor & outdoor seating area (wiping down tables / benches, removing trash, sweeping, etc.)
- Observe Kashrut / Kosher practices of kitchen
- Comply with all Covid protocols
- Other Duties as assigned

Incumbents must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for extended periods of time; be able to lift 50 pounds and tolerate hot and humid working conditions; be able to maintain professional attitude even during busy times of high stress; must be able to work evenings and weekends.
