POSITION SUMMARY
The Pickleball Instructor is responsible for the overall coordination and management of the Glick JCC Pickleball program. Coordinates open play times and manages Pickleball programming, including but not limited to, pickleball clinics and events for youth, teens and adults. Pickleball Instructor may also teach private and group lessons.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides beginning through advanced instruction (private and group) for all levels and ages of players.
- Assists in promoting and conducting pickleball clinics, private lessons, and special programming
- Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive pickleball lessons.
- Manages inventory of equipment and ensures that equipment is in good condition and sufficient for the needs of the program
- Maintains the highest level of customer service by responding within 24 hours to inquiries and requests from program participants and other staff members
- Other Duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education/Experience High School Diploma or GED
- Experience planning and executing events
- CPR and AED Certified within 30 days of hire
- International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) and/or Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) preferred
- Experience teaching pickleball (required to instruct)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of the game of pickleball
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Excellent customer service skills, friendly, outgoing, and positive attitude
- Comfortable working with all age groups and building positive relationships with members and team members
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) and ability to learn membership and scheduling software
- Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills
Interpersonal, Customer Service & Communication Skills
- Requires ability to effectively communicate JCC mission to staff, members. vendors and volunteers
- Requires high-level skills in customer service/member care

WORK ENVIRONMENT
