Description
The Jewish Community Center of Denver is looking for a flexible Rentals Assistant to work select weekend and evening events, with some opportunity for shifts during normal work hours. The Rentals Assistant has the primary responsibility of ensuring that clients and guests follow all of the protocols detailed in the rental agreement with specific attention to detail and adherence to COVID protocols on-site. In addition, the Rentals Assistant will ensure that the JCC Denver facility is prepared and well equipped to fulfill its rental commitments in a customer-oriented manner.
Responsibilities
- Support Director of Operations by serving as the on-site contact during selected events (including evenings and weekends) as appropriate to assist with and supervise logistics, audio, visual, other vendors, and support participants to ensure a successful execution of events.
- Setup chairs, tables, and other equipment needed for the given event. This position will require working closely with our housekeeping department to make sure space is clean and orderly before guests arrive.
- Oversee and enforce COVID protocols with members, vendors, and guests
- Ensure parking lot signage is in place before the start of the event.
- All other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
While performing duties, the candidate is occasionally required to stand for long periods of time. This candidate will also use their hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Candidates must occasionally lift and or/move up to fifteen (15) pounds.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years experience in a customer service role
- Basic understanding of Microsoft office suite
- Responsive, professional and enthusiastic attitude, welcoming personality
- Flexibility to non-standard hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- High attention to detail, customer service, and the ability to establish priorities.
Benefits Overview
Part-Time positions are not benefit eligible at the JCC. The JCC has a 401(K) Plan available for elective deferral contributions for employees over 21 years of age, with no waiting period. Colorado Healthy Families & Workplaces Act accrued based on the hours worked in compliance with the CO sick pay.
