The Jewish Community Campus, located in Overland Park, is a 250,000 square foot building on 25-acre grounds. The building is home to nine agencies including the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City. The building includes a preschool; K-12 private school; 500-seat theater; fitness center; indoor and outdoor pool; commercial kitchens; private offices; and public meeting / rental spaces.
Schedule : 4 hours per day, M-F mornings.
Environmental Services helps to ensure our facilities are safe, clean and welcoming to visitors and employees. The employee is responsible for :
- Clean windows, glass, and treatments, floors, and restrooms – to include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sinks, toilets, countertops, stall walls and more
- Restock supplies such as tissue, paper towels, soap
- Gather trash and empty trash bins
- Perform special deep cleaning projects as assigned
- Keep cart and supplies stocked, organized, and stored properly when not in use
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and efficiently according to established procedures
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow building security procedures for locking doors and securing areas
- Clean and dispose of spills and other hazards with appropriate processes and equipment
- Respond to pages and radio communication promptly and professionally
- Show consideration when interacting with members, guests, employees, and coworkers
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and special events as needed
- Notify facilities of any maintenance concerns as needed
- Other duties as assigned

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing throughout each shift. The employee must frequently lift and move items up to 35 pounds.
