The J is hiring energetic Preschool Soccer Coaches for the Spring season. Our Coaches have a variety of responsibilities which can include serving as a customer service point-of-contact, coach, or referee. The J’s soccer program emphasizes learning skills in a fun and positive environment while teaching the value of good sportsmanship. Experience as a coach/player/referee is preferred, but not mandatory.
Schedule
We are hiring reliable part-time staff to lead our preschool (3-5 year old's) soccer classes on Sundays.
Will work approx. 4-8 hours per week. Other opportunities may also present themselves, as the J offers year-round soccer programming.

Essential Functions
- Coach soccer classes and scrimmages for ages 3-5
- Engage and interact with children in a fun and outgoing manner
- Be able to create and use age-appropriate soccer activities to engage young players
- Foster an encouraging and positive environment for young players
- Demonstrate professionalism and responsibility when interacting with players and families
- Supervise children ages 3 to 5 years old
- Experience working with children preferred
- Experience as a coach/referee/player is preferred
- Knowledge of soccer and its rules
- Able to work a Sundays
- Must have reliable transportation
- Constant standing, walking and exposure to the weather outdoors
- Frequent walking/running, eye/hand/foot coordination, talking and hearing to demonstrate and execute skills
- Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. to move equipment as needed
