Description
Paraeducators (Paras) work one-on-one or one-on-two, with students ages 2-5 years old in The J’s preschool program. Paras help to provide a fun, safe and exciting learning environment and help preschoolers enjoy arts carts, playground time, and other activities around The J.
Schedule
Job requires frequent (2-5 hours per shift) standing, walking, carrying and repetitive motions and occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing and stooping/crouching.

Schedule
- This position is scheduled Monday-Friday 12:30pm to 6:00pm
- $14 - $17 per hour
- No nights or weekends

- Adapt and provide accommodations for classroom activities under the direction of the teachers.
- Aid students in and out of the classroom.
- Assist students requiring support for personal care (diaper changing, potty training, hand washing, etc.)
- Support students' progression toward independent self-management and self-regulation skills.
- Experience working with children with special needs
- Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential in this position
- High school diploma plus some college will be considered
