What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Manager position at Jewish Community Center of Greater Rochester INC?
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing plans that align with the goals of the JCC. Includes oversite of the marketing staff and vendors, execution of marketing, advertising and public relations campaigns, and working closely with other departments to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. This role requires a visionary leader with a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and management of people, programs and processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Understand the vast and varied programs of the agency to develop, implement, and manage the marketing strategy to increase brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue.
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and strategies for growth.
- Align marketing initiatives with company goals and objectives to ensure measurable results.

Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage marketing staff, processes and/or vendors
- Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability within the marketing department and with agency programs leaders.
- Provide guidance and professional development to team members.

Campaign Management:
- Plan and oversee the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, traditional, social media, web site, events, etc.).
- Ensure campaigns are on-brand, on-budget, and on-time.
- Track and analyze campaign performance, adjusting strategies for optimal ROI.

Budgeting & Resource Allocation:
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Measure the impact of marketing spend and optimize for efficiency.

Brand Management:
- Oversee brand positioning and messaging across all channels.
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials, communications, and channels.
- Conduct market research, when appropriate, to maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, preferences, and behaviors.
- Write and distribute press releases for applicable events and agency announcements.
- Craft narratives for internal and community communication.

Collaboration with Leadership:
- Work closely with leadership to align marketing efforts with company-wide objectives.
- Provide marketing insights and strategic recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team.

Analytics & Reporting:
- Analyze marketing performance data and provide regular reports to key stakeholders.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize campaigns and improve marketing effectiveness.
Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field. Master’s degree helpful but not required for individuals with significant industry experience.

Experience:
- 5 years of experience in marketing, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
- Strong experience with digital marketing, brand management, and multi-channel campaign execution.

Skills:
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strong multi-tasking skills to be able to prioritize multiple projects and program needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expertise in digital marketing and advertising including SEO and social media optimization.
- Proficient in marketing software and/or adept at learning new software (CRM, analytics platforms, etc.).
