SALARY RANGE
28.00 - $29.00 per hour
The JCCSF Summer Camp is now hiring a Dance Specialist for 2025!
Summer Camp at the JCCSF offers one-week to three-week sessions in both the traditional day camp and specialty camp settings for campers in grades K-8. Our classic day camps feature arts & crafts, STEAM projects, and sports. Specialty camps include visual arts, nature exploration, musical theater, science and more.
Camps are in session June 2 - August 22, 2025.
The Dance Specialist creates, organizes, and implements 1-2 week sessions of camp programming focused on all types of dance. This position requires strong classroom management skills and the ability to implement a well-rounded dance curriculum for youth ages 6 - 11.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the primary role model for a group of campers, grades K through 5
- Create a safe, supportive environment for campers
- Plan, organize and supervise fun and stimulating activities
- Set clear, consistent limits and resolve behavioral challenges with help from camp counselors
- Additional responsibilities as required
REQUIREMENTS
WORKING CONDITIONS
Will be working with youth ages 6-11. Work will be conducted on-site, primarily in dance studios and other performance spaces.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift equipment / supplies / assorted material of up to 50lbs, with or without assistance. Work entails standing and walking throughout the day, and actively engaging in dance programming with campers.

Up to 10 hours of prep work per week 5 / 1 / 2025 - 5 / 31 / 2025
37.5 hours per week from 6 / 2 / 2025 - 8 / 22 / 2025
