The Soccer Strikers Instructor will be responsible for leading and coaching youth soccer sessions at the JCC. This role focuses on providing a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment where children can develop their soccer skills, build confidence, and foster teamwork. The ideal candidate is passionate about youth development, knowledgeable in soccer fundamentals, and has experience working with children in a coaching or instructional capacity.

- Plan and lead age-appropriate soccer drills, skill development activities, and scrimmages.
- Provide hands-on coaching and encouragement to participants to ensure a fun and inclusive experience.
- Teach fundamental soccer techniques, including passing, dribbling, shooting, and defensive skills.
- Emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline during all sessions.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by monitoring play and enforcing rules.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding player progress and program updates.
- Set up and break down equipment for each session, ensuring all gear is properly maintained.
- Work collaboratively with the JCC Sports & Recreation Team to enhance the program’s structure and engagement.
- Prior experience coaching or instructing youth soccer (preferred, but not required).
- Strong understanding of soccer techniques, rules, and strategies.
- Experience working with children ages 3-16 in a recreational or instructional setting.
- Ability to create a fun, safe, and encouraging learning environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred, or willingness to obtain).
- Must be able to commit to scheduled sessions and be reliable in attendance.
- Ability to lift and carry soccer equipment (cones, goals, balls, etc.).
- The Soccer Strikers program runs on a weekly basis with set class times.
- $25 Hourly
- Compensation is based on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
- Additional opportunities may be available for special events and seasonal sports programs.
Salary : $25
