Primary Purpose of the Job:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Seasonal Bartender to join our team for special events throughout the summer season. As a Special Events Bartender, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding service to our guests by preparing and serving drinks, assisting with event setups, and ensuring all operations run smoothly. This is a fast-paced position that requires a customer-focused attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Age: 19 years or older.
- Experience: Previous food service or hotel/restaurant experience is helpful, but not required.

- Knowledge: General knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and bar/restaurant supplies.
- Math Skills: Basic math skills and experience using computerized cash registers and reading tape readouts.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, kneel, bend, twist, reach above head, and climb. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift, push, pull, or move up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 50 pounds using safe lifting methods.
- Background Check: Candidates must pass a drug and background check.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Bar Setup and Breakdown: Assist with setting up and tearing down the bar before and after events, ensuring everything is in place for smooth operation.
- Drink Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to our JCC recipes and in compliance with state laws and regulations.
- Garnish Preparation: Prepare garnishes and other necessary ingredients for drinks during events as required.
- Payment Handling: Operate the cash register, process payments, and make accurate change in a timely manner.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience at all events.
- Inventory Control: Ensure proper stock levels and assist with maintaining bar supplies and inventory as needed.
- Cleanliness: Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift.
Work Schedule:
- Thursdays and Fridays: Happy hour/early evening hours.
- Saturdays and Sundays: Approximately 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Season: Memorial Day to Labor Day.
