What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquatics Director position at Jewish Community Center?
Looking for a highly motivated individual to work as the seasonal Aquatics Director for a large Community Center and Summer Camp.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee outdoor pool operation from May-September; working with building superintendent for maintenance issues.
- Coordinate swim lesson registration and lifeguard assignments.
- Answer questions from patrons regarding pool policies and swim lessons.
- Oversee Camp day from 9 am-4 pm, remaining on the pool deck for safety for 8 week camp program (June 30 -August 22).
- Work with Head Lifeguards to schedule lifeguard team.
- Maintain proof of training for all lifeguards for Department of Health.
- Maintain records of water testing for Department of Health.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have 18 weeks of previous experience as a lifeguard OR
- 2 seasons of experience as a lifeguard in a camp program OR
- 1 season of previous experience as a camp Aquatics Director
