Your position at the JDS will be as our 4th through 8th grade language arts teacher. Most importantly, you will establish student relationships that foster engagement with their studies, that encourage students to deeply explore content, and that help students feel secure. Secondly, you will provide effective instruction in literature, composition, grammar and usage, and vocabulary.
The Jewish Day School is located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Educate students in various subjects, ensuring comprehension and retention of material.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective classroom management techniques.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Work with our team to provide individualized support for students with differentiated needs.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance educational programs and initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
Qualifications
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proven ability in classroom management to create a conducive learning environment.
- A passion for educating young minds and a commitment to their development.
- Ability to write clear lesson plans and educational materials that engage students.
- Applicants should have certification that preferably includes language arts and be skilled at teaching literature, composition, grammar, and vocabulary.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
