Summary :
The Lead Employment Case Manager will provide Employment Case Management services to adults in assigned programs and will have specific operations support responsibilities. They will have leadership opportunities regarding team case consultations, onboarding and training, and general departmental operations. They will also represent the agency in community and partner meetings. The Lead Employment Case Manager will carry a reduced caseload (about 50% of standard) and will build and maintain relationships with partner organizations to deliver services to program participants.

Salary and Benefits :

Operations support for the MFIP team (50%) :
Work closely with Employment Counselors in designated program(s) for onboarding, training, and consultationProcess incoming referrals and assign cases within teamReview productivity, program performance, and outcome reports with Program Manager; run reports as neededCollaborate with external partners on program information, process development and implementation, recruitment and retention strategies, and general communicationAssist with new staff applicant assessment and interviewingAct as liaison between program staff and other internal and external entities as neededAssist Program Manager in preparation of reports and monitoring visitsAssist in development and implementation of program marketing materialsDevelop and maintain training documentation and procedures for onboarding, continuous improvement, and program changesOther duties as assignedSpecific responsibilities designated for MFIP program :Process financial assistance requests following defined agency policies and processesProvide new staff training on all program processes. During training period : conduct case audits; meet regularly with new staff for training and feedback; monitor and report on progress to the Program Manager.Lead ongoing trainings for all MFIP staff, topics may include program changes, best practices, and continuous improvementDraft and distribute monthly communications that are sent to participants by MFIP staffEmployment case management services for designated caseload of program participants (50%) :
Assess participants' strengths, risks, and needsDevelop individual employment plans in collaboration with the participant with measurable goalsMaintain and document contact with participants in compliance with program and agency guidelinesProvide support and referrals to address participant challenges and achieve outcomesMaintain all required electronic and paper documentation in compliance with program guidelinesAdvocate for participant when appropriateCreate and deliver small group training sessionsWork Environment / Physical Demands :
Regularly sits at desk or conference table and uses computer keyboard. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to obtain files, equipment, etc. Frequent oral and written communication with staff and public, both one-to-one and in group meetings. Awareness of and ability to manage time to meet deadlines and complete work. Frequent interruptions and need to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Indoor office setting. Frequent formal and informal interaction with others. Frequent use of telephone, computer, fax and copier, flip charts, and other tools for presentations. Must be able to walk up and down stairs, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and get in and out of a car. Occasional exposure to inclement weather. Constant work with and around others.
Must have use of personal transportation for occasional driving, current driver's license, auto insurance with appropriate coverage limits and clean driving record.
Requirements
Education and Licensing :
Minimum of two years' experience in employment counseling with populations experiencing barriers to employment (preferred) OR two years' experience providing services in Human Services or related field OR combination thereofMinimum of two years' experience providing services for government contractsMinimum of one year's experience as an MFIP employment services counselorSkills and Qualities :
