Overview
The Business Intelligence (BI) Application & Training Specialist provides Helpdesk support by assisting with calls and user-driven tickets for troubleshooting of NextGen PM and EHR issues. This role serves as primary point of contact for tickets and projects related to clinical template sets, modules, and practice management scheduling applications within the NextGen system. Responds to end users and closes tickets in a timely manner, inclusive of after-hours coverage, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates NextGen PM and EHR issue resolution with vendors as needed, including testing guidance received from vendor and escalating tickets as necessary.
- Facilitates end-user training sessions as scheduled and based on need, inclusive of preparing training materials and technical assistance documents for both Behavioral Health and Physical Health specialties.
- Oversees the management of interfaces between NextGen PM and EHR, as well as other related databases associated with business operations for the company.
- Responsible for support of Data Base configuration and management inclusive of : Edits, updates, and software upgradesAdding and revising Provider profilesAdding and revising Contracts and PayersUnit Code Calculation and Service Code Mapping
- Provides support, training, and assessment of workflows as it relates to NextGen Applications and End User.
- Develops end-user job aides and training materials to support the use of all relevant NextGen utilities and applications.
- Responsible to oversee, as assigned, agency updates and incoming information as it relates to actionable steps within the NextGen system and impact to the agency Cross Functional team and to make recommendations for agency implementation
- Is able to participate in after-hours department projects that must occur after end users have logged off the system. Work schedules will be adjusted for the BI team in these instances, to accommodate special project hours.
- Participate in department meetings, cross functional discussions, and Arizona NextGen user group when needed.
