Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse provides Nursing Supervision to clients and caregivers on an intermittent basis at the client’s place of residence. This is performed in accordance with a plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Supervisory Registered Nurse.
VERY FLEXIBLE HOURS. NIGHTS, DAYS, WEEKENDS, YOU MAKE YOUR HOURS.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides services in accordance with the plan of care and in coordination with the Nurse Supervisor.
- Makes the initial evaluation visit and regularly reevaluates the client’s nursing needs.
- Initiates the plan of care and necessary revisions based on the nursing process.
- Clinical Notes are returned to the office within (3) days of assignment by the Nursing Supervisor. (Weekends within 4 days)
- Coordinates services with other healthcare professionals in collaboration with the Nursing Supervisor.
- Informs the Nursing Supervisor of changes in the condition and needs of the client or family.
- Reviews the Plan of Care with the client and family members.
- Processes orders and notifies physicians of patient needs and changes in condition.
- Completes certification/recertification orders and discharge summaries in a timely manner as assigned by Nursing Supervisor. (Uses Discharge Form for all client discharges)
- Counsels the client and family/significant others in meeting nursing and related needs.
- Educates client and family members concerning any medications, procedures, diagnosis, or medical questions and documents teaching/education in progress notes.
- Understands and adheres to established Agency policies and procedures.
- Supervises and evaluates other nursing personnel, (CNA/HHA/Home Maker).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Graduate from an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed in the state of Florida as a Registered Nurse.
Experience
Two years of prior nursing experience are required. Home Health experience a plus.
