We have an immediate opening for the Administrative Director of Disability Services. This role is full-time, salary commensurate with experience, and office-based.
Job Summary: In partnership with the Clinical Director of Disability Services, the Administrative Director of Disability Services will provide leadership, vision, and direction for the entire Intellectual Developmental Disability (IDD) Department. This position manages people, policies, and processes to ensure proper execution and ongoing compliance with administrative-related activities. The Administrative Director will stay connected with the changing rules and regulations of the IDD field and maintain a strong knowledge of contemporary IDD service delivery models and trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership, direction, and support to regional management teams, in collaboration with other management personnel.
- Represents JFSA and the Developmental Disabilities program in the community and with other organizations, funders, and families.
- In conjunction with the Clinical Director, and other leadership staff, plan, develop, and execute improvements in existing programming as well as new initiatives. This includes developing, implementing, and/or maintaining formal policies and procedures.
- In conjunction with the Clinical Director and other leadership, develop a plan and vision for further growth opportunities within the field of developmental disabilities.
- Responsible for hiring and managing Regional Coordinators, Schedulers, and other support staff as assigned.
- Availability to be on-call evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Responsible for the regulatory training of the staff
- Implements the principles of effective performance management on an ongoing basis.
- Ensures efficient and effective operation of the Developmental Disabilities program, pertaining to issues such as staff scheduling, standard operating procedures, etc.
- Ensures that the Developmental Disabilities program operates in a fiscally responsible manner; monitors the annual budget and allocation of funds, in conjunction with the Achieving Potential Business Manager and the Finance Department.
- Ensures that the Developmental Disabilities program fulfills all current and future requirements associated with funding sources (e.g., Medicaid waivers) including regulatory compliance, meeting accreditation standards, and licensure regulations.
- Ensures that necessary documentation and databases are maintained to support billing activities and the operation of the program.
- Oversee the Developmental Disabilities department support functions, including but not limited to inventory maintenance, database entry, and analysis, training compliance records, facility and vehicle maintenance fiscal approval process, etc.
- Oversee the operation of scheduling support staff, including the monitoring of coverage and overtime, verifying payroll, and providing effective and therapeutic staffing. Some of these functions may be delegated to others as needed.
- Interacts with HR, fiscal, IT, and other JFSA departments to ensure and enhance program needs and requirements.
- Interacts extensively with families of consumers for non-clinical related topics
- In partnership with the Achieving Potential’s Chief Program Officer, represents Developmental Disabilities management concerning labor unions.
- Demonstrates awareness of and follows all safety policies and procedures and adheres to all recommended practices.
- Performs other duties or special projects, as assigned.
