The Supervisor, Homeless Prevention Program is responsible for the direct supervision of case management staff and the coordination of the intake process, client financial support, team productivity and overall quality of service delivery. This role oversees staff in multiple programs serving housed, unhoused, and at-risk of homelessness individuals and families, including but not limited to older adults, and survivors impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking. The position works under the direction of the Program Director, ensuring compliance with contract/grant eligibility requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum BA degree in social work or a related field and 2 years supervisory experience.
- Ability to coach, train, and provide quality supervision to case management and administrative staff.
- Experience in case management and community-based service delivery with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of and ability to research and connect clients to community resources.
- Strong proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), and the ability to quickly learn new record/database systems.
- Ability to exercise sound casework judgment and budget management skills.
- Compliance with documentation guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to utilize telehealth platforms.
- Strong organizational, assessment, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively with a multicultural client population. Ability to work in a non-judgmental manner, foster positive outcomes, collaborate as part of a team, and maintain professional boundaries.
- Must pass a criminal background check (Live Scan fingerprinting) prior to employment.
- Current, unrestricted California driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, and complete projects within specified timeframes.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversight of all aspects of case management activities for homeless prevention programs including initial assessment, case planning, interventions, and housing navigation.
- Orientation and onboarding of case management staff, provide weekly one on one supervision/coaching sessions with staff.
- Hold case consultations and provide review of case notes and assessments.
- Monitoring team productivity and caseload capacity as well as quality service delivery; budgeting; and housing navigation.
- Oversee the intake process by reviewing referrals, assign, and monitor caseloads.
- Facilitate professional staff development using supportive and collaborative approaches.
- Assist program director in engagement of outreach efforts with housing providers, partner organizations, landlords, property managers, and other external stakeholders.
- Attend program, agency, and grant meetings, as well as required trainings to maintain knowledge, skills, and compliance with program and grant requirements.
- Ensure proper paperwork and documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner to comply with data collection requirements and performance measures.
- Implement funder documentation requirements.
- Oversee program quality assurance, including ongoing review of electronic records and client charts, to ensure compliance with funder regulations.
- Other related duties as assigned.
