SUMMARY

The CMPP Manager will oversee all programmatic operations of the Case Management Pilot Program (CMPP). This individual will supervise the CMPP Caseworkers and will engage in direct case assistance when necessary. The CMPP program helps to ensure that noncitizens who have been paroled, released on bond, are in Alternatives to Detention (ATD) programs, and / or for whom a Notice to Appear has been issued have access to voluntary client-led case management services including mental health services, human trafficking screening, legal orientation programs, and cultural orientation programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

The duties and responsibilities of the position are to be carried out in a manner that is consistent with the mission, values, and operating principles of Jewish Family Services.

  • Oversee all programmatic operations of the CMPP, primarily the provision of case management services including mental health services, human trafficking screening, legal orientation and cultural orientation programs.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for required rigorous programmatic reporting to federal funder.
  • On-site management of staff during JFS hours of operation; remote work availability for this position is limited.
  • Provide ongoing training to support the needs of CMPP team, including caseworkers, internal partners, and consortium partners.
  • Oversee intake, assessment, and enrollment process for clients daily.
  • Ensure caseworkers are accurately entering required data into Penelope daily.
  • Direct case assistance, when necessary, which may include :

Working with caseworkers to oversee the creation of client-led service plans to address mental health needs, legal needs / orientation, and cultural orientation.

  • Ensuring that the referral process to internal and external partners is clear for caseworkers and other JFS staff.
  • Working with JFS housing staff to find safe and affordable housing for clients.
  • Overseeing process and documentation of flexible fund usage.
  • Assisting caseworkers in creating case closure plans.
  • Work with Sr. Legal Specialist to ensure caseworkers are providing proper information to clients.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and Experience

  • 3 years of case management experience.
  • 1-3 years supervising caseworkers in a human service-related program.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or another related field, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of US immigration law policies.
  • Proficiency in a language other than English a plus.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Will work in the office and in the community; travel is a daily requirement as part of the provision of services to clients.
  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle, possess a valid, clean NYS driver’s license and be sufficiently self-insured with liability insurance in the amount of $100,000 / $300,000.
  • Flexible hours including days and some evenings, late nights, and weekends.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Light physical activities and efforts required working in an office environment and the ability to move small furniture.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to maintain system of files and reports containing computer-generated and handwritten documents.
  • Auditory acuity sufficient to communicate with staff and others by phone and in person.
  • Mobility sufficient to conduct regular duties within a normal office environment and community.
  • COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Competitive salary of $58,500 to $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance.
  • Accrued Paid Time Off (PTO) of 4 weeks.
  • 401k retirement plan with agency contribution of 4%.
  • 13 observed holidays annually.
  • Reduced full-time work week of 35 hours and early close on Fridays.
  • The above pay range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, background, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
