Preferred Communities Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator for the Preferred Communities (PC) Program is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program, including case management, service delivery, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. The ideal candidate will be passionate about empowering New Americans, detail-oriented, and skilled in cultivating strong partnerships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Preferred Communities Program, ensuring that all activities align with program goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement effective systems to track program deliverables and outcomes.
- Coordinate and monitor service delivery to clients, providing high-quality, client-centered support.
Case Management Support:
- Provide intensive case management services to vulnerable clients, including those with medical, mental health, or other special needs.
- Assist in developing individualized service plans and ensuring timely referrals to appropriate resources.
- Monitor progress and follow up with clients to ensure that goals are being met.
Grant Management & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, including documentation, reporting, and programmatic outcomes.
- Prepare reports for HIAS, including budgets, performance metrics, and narratives, as necessary.
- Maintain accurate client and program data using case management systems like Apricot.
Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with state refugee health coordinators, local service providers, housing organizations, employers, and other community stakeholders to enhance client support.
- Represent the organization at community meetings, trainings, and conferences related to refugee resettlement and integration.
- Provide training and support to case managers and other staff involved in the PC program. Stay updated on the latest best practices and emerging trends in refugee resettlement and social services to continually enhance the program’s effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in program coordination, case management, or a related field, preferably with refugee or immigrant populations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to refugee resettlement and grant compliance.
- Experience using data management systems like Apricot is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of community resources and services available to refugees and other vulnerable populations.
- Fluency in a second language commonly spoken by refugee communities (e.g., Arabic, Ukrainian, Pashto, Dari, Somali) is highly desirable.
- Experience managing budgets and preparing reports for funders.
