WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Older Adult Mental Health Specialist provides mental health assessment and linkage to appropriate community resources to individuals referred by Erie County Senior Services including Mental Health Counseling, Case Management, and Peer Supports based on individual request and need.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of older adults to evaluate their mental health status, including screening for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and other psychiatric conditions to provide a DSM-V / ICD 10 diagnosis for each client.
- Utilize standardized assessment tools, clinical interviews, and collateral information from caregivers or family members to gather comprehensive data.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and interdisciplinary teams to provide linkage to appropriate community resources and services.
- Communicate assessment findings clearly and effectively to client and referral source(s) to insure effective services delivery and linkages
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including all electronic record systems.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
This position requires travel between sites and therefore, you must have a reliable vehicle, valid New York State driver's license, and auto liability insurance in the amount of $100,000 / $300,000. Also, if hired, you must produce evidence of having received the Covid-19 vaccination.
WHAT WE OFFER
LMHC / LMSW start at $52,000 ($28.57 / hour)
The above pay range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, background, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
