Position : CSI Intelligence Analyst
Department : Community Security Initiative
Salary : $85,000 - $90,000
Time Limited : 12 / 31 / 2025 (extension depending upon 3 year grant funding)
Summary Description of Position
Reporting to the CSI Operations Manager and working out of the CSI Analysis Center, the CSI Intelligence Analyst will monitor, collect, vet, and disseminate information and intelligence with a nexus to the Jewish community. The CSI Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the production of intelligence products, as well as the regular monitoring of online open sources for potential security and operational threats.
Principal Duties
- Monitor, collect, vet, and disseminate regional information and intelligence to CSI staff and partner Jewish institutions.
- Conduct regular monitoring through online open sources and social media for known and potential threats to the Jewish community and organizational security.
- Effectively analyze threats and produce actionable intelligence products in a timely manner.
- Conduct in-depth research on wide range of issues pertaining to regional security, such as : terrorism, hate groups, crime trends, disruptive protests, weather conditions, natural disasters, reputational concerns, as well as socio-economic dynamics affecting the Jewish community
- Assist in identifying potential intelligence through extensive data collection of internal and open-source materials.
- Monitor critical event management platform for situational awareness alerts affecting Jewish institutions in catchment area and respond appropriately.
- Draft One Voice Emergency Alerts for management review.
- Liaise with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners.
- Utilize analytics to recognize trends, patterns, and potential emerging threats to the Los Angeles Jewish community.
- Stand duty as off-hour CSI Duty Officer as assigned, taking incident reports, monitoring situational awareness alerts, and processing associated emergency alert messages. Develop information / intelligence resources throughout the region in the public and private sectors.
- Keep meticulous records of client sites, inquiries, incidents, and any associated data through corresponding case management platforms.
- Liaise with local, national, and international Jewish communal security groups.
- Assist the team with community outreach, planning, and training needs.
Additional Duties : Be available to supervisor for additional assignments, as required, including assisting with the Campaign.
