Full-time HYBRID (Mon & Thurs in office, possibly adding third day in future)

Summary
The Diller Teen Fellows program was established in San Francisco in 1997 by the Helen Diller Family Foundation, a supporting foundation of the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund. The first cohort of the program began its activity in San Francisco in January 1998. Since then, the program has expanded to include 32 participating communities across the U.S., Canada, South Africa, Australia, South America, Europe and Israel.
The program works with teens in 10-11th grades and spearheads the development of Jewish youth leadership founded on a unique model of Jewish pluralism, Jewish Peoplehood, and transatlantic partnership. All this with the goal of creating a global network of teens who will fulfill an active and effective leadership role in creating a better world.

Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ is a nonprofit organization that serves the Jewish community in Essex, Morris, Sussex, Union, and parts of Somerset County in NJ. Our mission is to convene and lead our community to ensure the continuity and strength of the Jewish people, to support a secure Jewish and democratic State of Israel, and to care for Jews in need locally and around the world. Federation enables community members to engage in meaningful ways, impact the lives of others, and access valuable resources.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and lead scheduled workshops and retreats throughout the year in accordance with the Diller mission, vision, and goals (includes but is not limited to logistics, service learning projects, and Israel Education)
- Provide mentorship and guidance to 20 program participants, 2 Junior Counselors, 1 Program Intern
- Manage the interview and selection process for 20 participants for each upcoming program year
- Promote the program locally in collaboration with other local organizations
- Design, co-lead, and supervise, in partnership with Israeli partner Coordinator, seminars in local community and in Israel
- Budget management
- Active participation in national and international professional development
- Engage parents of participating teens and local program alumni that help them understand and contribute to the experience their teens are having
