The Jewish Federation of Northwest Indiana, a non-profit organization based in Munster, Indiana, is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as the Marketing and Communications Associate. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and Director of Operations and Finance and works in partnership with staff and volunteer committees to promote programs, services, and fundraising campaigns with mission focused marketing.
Main Duties
· Design and coordinate production and distribution of all marketing and mass mailings, including newsletters, flyers, email blasts, postcards and invitations.
· Maintain social media platforms, website and community calendar.
· Help community members coordinate community calendar.
· Coordinate with staff, partners, volunteers to plan and execute focused marketing
· Use Database software to set up online registration forms and demographic focused mailings.
· Assist in administrative tasks as needed, such as the creation of board reports and directories, coordinating Zoom meetings
Additional Duties
· Greet and welcome guest when entering the building
· Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.
· Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor cameras and doors, check for identification when necessary)
· Perform clerical receptionist duties such as answer phones, mailings, photocopying, transcribing and emailing.
· Coordinate with Staff to perform administrative duties on large programs such as JCY Camp, Community Picnic, and Annual Meeting
Preferred Skill Set
· 2 years of experience in marketing and design and/or equivalent training
· Proficient in Constant Contact, Canva, Facebook, Instagram, Weebly, and YouTube.
· Experience developing content and updating information for website maintenance.
· Excellent customer service and people skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various personalities and needs.
· Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks while working independently or with a team.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to adapt deadlines and priorities to accommodate last-minute changes in marketing materials
· Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a mission-driven organization or agency.
· Ability to estimate the need for slight variations in materials based on demographics.
· Knowledge of Jewish culture and community is preferred, but affiliation is not required.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive

Additional Information
· 40 hrs. per week.
· Normal business hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm
· Availability with notice is required for occasional evening and Sunday.
