Pay Rate: $15.60
Full Time Monday-Friday 7am-2:30pm
GENERAL SCOPE: Serve as the key point person to answer questions and coordinate services for residents and visitors to a country club-style independent living community for older adults. Enhance the quality of life for residents in a manner that meets their unique needs, ensuring their comfort, safety, enjoyment and engagement within Rochester’s only Continuing Care Retirement Community.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: High school graduate required. Associates degree or above preferred. CPR/AED required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Personalized Resident Support: Serve as the key point person to assist residents by scheduling appointments, transportation, and valet services. Submitting maintenance work orders, reserving Summit Guest Room and cots, and coordinating appointments with administration.
- Positive Interactions: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, always striving to provide positive interactions. Avoid using negative language, offer an alternatives or solutions to meet residents’ requests and needs.
- Calm and Composed Handling of Situations: Manage all situations, including challenging ones, with calmness and composure. Avoid emotional responses and maintain professionalism in handling complaints or difficult interactions.
- Visitor Management: Greet and welcome guests and oversee Guest Sign-In. Direct visitors to their destination.
- Inbound Phone Communications: Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed.
- Professional Presence: Maintain a professional demeanor at all time, with a friendly posture and presence that convey confidence and approachability. This includes being well-groomed, dressed appropriately for the setting, and ready to assist at any moment.
- Security Enhancement: Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access through the main entrance.(Monitor visitor log and cameras).
- Community Engagement: Encourage resident participation in community events, activities, and social gatherings.
- Liaison Services: Act as a liaison between residents and various departments within the community, such as administration, dietary, maintenance, marketing, and activities to ensure resident needs and preferences are addressed.
- Information and Referral Services: Offer information and referrals for external services and resources that residents may need, including medical services, local attractions, shopping, and entertainment options. Provide general information assistance to residents and visitors.
- Emergency Response: Monitor community's emergency Personal Response System, following established protocols, offering immediate assistance, and potentially acting as a point of contact for emergency services. Assist in monitoring of the fire alarm panel, door alarms, elevator alarms, and notifying residents through the Summit Alert Notification System.
- Resident Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for residents, ensuring their rights are respected and their voices are heard in matters affecting their living conditions and quality of life. Report any concerns to the appropriate department.
- Confidentiality and Privacy: Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality regarding all resident information. Handle sensitive data with discretion and ensure that it is shared with authorized personnel in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Lobby Management: Ensure that the lobby area is always clean, tidy, and welcoming for residents, guests, and staff. This involves arranging furniture neatly.
- Community Room Upkeep: Regularly inspect community rooms, such as Family Room, Card Room, and Coffee Lounge are clean, well-organized, and ready for use. This includes reporting maintenance issues, and coordinating with Concierge Assistants, Valet, or housekeeping staff. Make sure the correct Room Calendars are posted.
- Administrative Support: Provide assistance to the administration team with various projects or clerical duties such as but not limited to; filing, photocopying, faxing, scheduling appointments, managing resident information databases, and handling correspondence. Offer assistance to others if there is extra time.
- Cross-Department Support: Provide support to various departments as needed, which might include helping in the dining area, assisting with resident transportation, or providing temporary help in the administrative area.
- Other Duties: Any additional tasks that may not be explicitly listed but are necessary to support the community’s operations or enhance the residents’ quality of life. These tasks can vary from day to day or specific needs that arise.
