What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consumer Tech Guide Intern position at Jewish Home?
Pay Range: $15.60-$20.00 (Pay information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position)
Flexible, 4-8 hours per day Monday-Friday through 12/31/25
GENERAL SCOPE: The Consumer Tech Guide Intern is a key position responsible for providing facility residents with white glove consumer technology support in a startup environment. The Consumer Tech Guide Intern is also responsible for record keeping for use in data analytics and research. This position can be full time or part time with flexible scheduling during the day depending on the candidate’s needs.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: Must be in pursuit of a degree in management information science, information technology or related IT discipline with a 3.0 GPA or better.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical.
Fluent in current consumer technologies – ideally across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Mac, Windows).
Up to date with current and emerging technology: Mobile devices (phones and tablets); Conventional computers; and Smart home / internet of things.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists users with support for computer hardware, software, printers and mobile devices with the ability to problem solve and make repairs.
- Evaluate users’ needs and make objective technology recommendations.
- Prepare and deliver short presentations / tutorials on technology topics.
EXPERIENCE: Should have some education in basic IT networking and troubleshooting. Must have competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
