What are the responsibilities and job description for the Music Therapist position at Jewish Home?
Pay Range: $22.00-$25.00 Hourly (Pay information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position)
Full Time 40 hours Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
GENERAL SCOPE: Organizes, coordinates, evaluates and implements music therapy programs for Jewish Home (JHR) residents. Assists with recreational event programming and general music events as needed
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: B.S. in Music Therapy. Board certified Music Therapist or eligible to sit for the boards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide group music therapy sessions on each floor of the tower and in each cottage on a bi-weekly basis.
- Provide music therapy assessments as referred, create treatment plans and provide services as deemed appropriate.
- Provide or assist in assigned recreational programs according to departmental procedure.
- Order and maintain necessary supplies/equipment for assigned programs.
- Supervise various students, interns and/or volunteers as assigned by department director.
- All other job duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE: One-year experience in geriatric music setting preferred.
