Pay Range : $29.00-$31.00 non exempt (Pay information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position)
Full Time 40 hours Monday-Friday
Under the direction of the Facility Manager, oversee the daily operations of The Summit, Wolk Manor and Lodge at Wolk Manor Housekeeping and Maintenance departments. Typical duties include but are not limited to project management, purchasing, planning and scheduling work assignments, working with state and federal regulatory agencies, code compliance, managing the work order system, staff training and development and contractor coordination. This is a hands-on, high-profile position that interacts with residents, leaders, staff, and vendors.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION :
High school graduate or equivalent. Trade school or college degree preferred. Must be able to communicate clearly in written and oral forms and to understand and comprehend written and oral communication. Must have valid NYS driver license.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Supervise housekeeping, maintenance and grounds of The Summit Independent Living, Wolk Manor Assisted Living and The Lodge at Wolk Manor Memory Care to provide a pristine environment for residents. Supervises housekeeping and maintenance personnel as assigned.
- Assist the Facility Manager in all departmental functions, ensuring a well-maintained, clean facility.
- Oversee efficient, customer-focused workflow and completion of work orders, communicating status updates with residents / staff / management.
- Ensure all required departmental documentation is completed, including preventive maintenance, and inspections.
- Is familiar with all NYSHD, NYCRR codes, NEC, Life Safety Code, OSHA and other regulatory guidelines.
- Oversee apartment renovations, remodels and turnovers in timely fashion, working with contractors and sales team.
- Be on-call for building emergencies and repairs.
- Support team leaders and training of employees, including HVAC training.
- All other job duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE :
Minimum of four (4) years of facility supervision experience required; preferably at least two (2) years in health care. Ability to understand and maintain all systems and equipment in the facility. Experience with MS Office and MS Outlook preferred.
Required to have knowledge of physical plant operations with experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, troubleshooting boiler systems, ductwork, domestic hot water systems, controls and heating / cooling systems.
