The Program Coordinator and Educator will work collaboratively with the Manager / Rabbi to support and provide for the religious, spiritual and educational needs of clients, residents, family members and staff members of CJE. They will lead educational programs and create spiritual / religious resources for clients and residents, provide Judaic cultural competency education for staff members, and coordinate the day-to-day operations of department services and programs. They will be a leader in promoting CJE values to staff.

Compensation
55k to 62k per year.
Shift
Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm with a 60-minute lunch break.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works closely with Life Enrichment Services, Concierge, Community, administrative, and other staff members at various sites / programs to see that the religious and spiritual needs of residents and clients are being met.
- Updates and creates new liturgical resources in collaboration with Rabbi and other CJE staff partners.
- Communicates essential Jewish / cultural information to team members via emails, meeting attendance, in-services, and other means as appropriate.
- Leads training and provides educational resources on Jewish culture and practice for CJE staff members in partnership with HR staff.
- Teaches Judaic classes for clients and residents, leads Kiddush programs and other religious programs and services in rotation with Rabbi and others, both volunteer and paid.
- Coordinates holiday and Judaic programs at various CJE sites.
- Schedules and manages the work of contracted religious service leaders and Judaic teachers at various sites.
- Works closely with Volunteer Services staff members to supervise volunteers for programs and services.
- Contributes Spiritual and Religious article to monthly Housing Newsletter.
- Supervises summer college intern, as available.
- Serves on various committees and mission aligned initiatives, such as Jewish Values & Ethics Board Subcommittee and others as appropriate.
- Supports Rabbi in collecting and reporting data for quality assurance and research purposes.
- Administrative responsibilities include on-boarding of new liturgical contractors and volunteers, tracking and preparing contractor invoices, preparing minutes from Jewish Values & Ethics committee meetings, preparing supportive materials for budget process such as holiday / Shabbat leader spreadsheets, and ordering supplies and materials.
- Regular travel amongst CJE’s various sites is required.
- Other tasks as assigned.
