We are looking for a motivated and experienced Controls Engineer to design and start up control systems for machines. Key Responsibilities of a Controls Engineer
- Design control systems from specifications provided by clients and machine designers.
- Select and size electrical components.
- Create layout drawings and electrical schematics using SolidWorks.
- Finalize Bill of Materials and component selection for purchasing and manufacturing departments.
- Provide troubleshooting advice to clients and service teams via phone and email.
- Assist with the installation of controls on machines and their start-up in the factory.
- Develop, monitor, and adjust project timelines to ensure design work is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Perform Controller Programming using Ladder Logic and / or Structured Text where applicable.
- Seek new technology applications for products.
- Support the manufacturing department during the building and installation process, ensuring machines are built according to design specifications.
- Collaborate with machine designers and manufacturing teams.
- Manage project documentation, ensuring compliance with standards and client expectations.
