A leading construction company in the Harrisburg area is seeking a skilled Project Accountant to oversee the financial management of construction projects. This role involves collaborating closely with project teams to track costs, manage invoicing, and ensure smooth project execution from start to finish. Project Accountant Responsibilities :
- Engage with clients at project initiation to establish billing protocols, change order processes, and other financial requirements.
- Monitor and transfer project costs, including labor and materials, ensuring accurate allocation.
- Prepare and submit monthly invoices, including pricing for change orders, in collaboration with project managers.
- Maintain up-to-date contract values and make necessary adjustments to estimated costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee subcontractor management, process amendments, and ensure all billing aligns with project terms and purchase orders.
- Maintain labor tracking systems and coordinate labor estimates with project managers.
- Contribute to monthly project status reviews, helping to track progress and update forecasts.
- Assist with client communication regarding payments, retainage, and project closeout procedures.
- Support year-end audit processes and address any additional accounting needs.
Project Accountant Qualifications :
