Job Overview
We are looking for a Quality Engineer responsible for supporting, facilitating, and driving the problem-solving process to identify and verify opportunities for improvement. The successful candidate will work within or lead cross-functional teams to ensure continual improvements are realized.
Key Responsibilities of a Quality Engineer
- Focus on direct and continuous improvement activities based on feedback from internal and external parties.
- Travel as needed to address product quality issues at customer or end-user facilities, providing follow-up support and facilitating field actions.
- Collaborate with personnel to ensure open corrective actions are supported, planned, tracked, and closed effectively.
- Develop and revise process and product documentation to meet customer / end-user requirements.
- Work with CQEs to capture results of actions in internal and external PPAP documentation.
- Standardize documentation to control critical characteristics in quality planning.
- Participate in cross-functional team activities to identify root causes and implement effective countermeasures.
- Support timely responses to customer / supplier complaints & 8D's, ensuring actions are sustained and effective.
- Monitor internal performance against defined quality metrics / KPIs, including audits and assessments.
