Jewish Family and Children's Service of Greater Philadelphia wants an experienced clinical counseling professional to lead and grow our counseling program. The program currently serves youth and teens through older adults and the successful candidate should have general knowledge of the needs of these diverse populations and their needs in order to provide coaching to staff while understanding what needs may need to be met through expanding the program's abilities or partnering with other providers.
Reporting to the Program Officer (PO) of the IFS Department, the Program Manager assists the PO in developing the goals, resources, and programs of the department, ensuring the quality and consistency of our clinical services, the measurement of our impact, and cultivating the well-being and development of our team. The Clinical Program Manager oversees the counseling department and facilitates professional development, provides clinical expertise to various populations and age groups, growth of department, and manages all related aspects.
LEADERSHIP AND ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide an open and engaging environment where direct reports, both salaried employees and contracted clinicians, can communicate freely and work together to improve service to our clients.
- Serve as a clinical resource to the IFS team by providing guidance and consultation as needed.
- Will maintain a caseload of therapy clients, approximately 10 billable hours per week.
- Lead their teams by providing open communication, ongoing coaching and feedback and ensuring performance objectives are met. Recognizes good performance and addresses areas for improvement with individual team members in a timely manner.
- Lead team by means of regularly scheduled individual supervisions and case reviews with respect to assessment skills, use of resources and documentation.
- Provide expertise, support, and supervision in group facilitation to support team members who are providing support groups.
- Lead and monitor team's work functions, productivity, time management, caseload management and crisis management.
- Facilitate team meetings/group supervision to enable opportunities for the team to share issues, case consultations, and discuss programs and to ensure that team has adequate communication of agency news and policies.
- Provide stretch opportunities so that employees learn and grow in scope, responsibility, and expertise.
- Ensure new employee selection is handled according to level of expertise required, capability and team “fit.”
- Ensure new employees are oriented and trained to perform their professional function consistent with program policies, requirement and expectations, and agency's standard of performance.
- Create meaningful team evaluations so that associates can understand their strengths and where they need improvement.
- Meet regularly with leadership to plan and coordinate activities and assess staff performance.
- Inform supervisor of any developing service needs, team issues, or administrative concerns and provide possible resolution options/recommendations and plans.
- Attend appropriate administrative, leadership team and Board Advisory committee meetings both within and outside of JFCS, as assigned.
- Recommend initiatives to enhance the overall activities consistent with the agency strategic plan.
- Participate actively in strategic discussions when appropriate, considering Department scope of service as well as program planning, marketing, implementation, and development issues.
- Work with supervisor to develop new community collaborations and partnerships, help to maintain existing community relationships, both formal and informal, and represents IFS and Agency with community organizations and professional groups.
- Monitor program specific expenses, including revenue sources, grant funds, and all other budgetary needs of the program. Have an understanding of the program budget, where there are gaps, opportunities, and understanding of the various revenue sources impacting the overall budget.
- Ensure accurate timekeeping is kept and submitted on a timely basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned by immediate leader and other management as requested.

REQUIREMENTS
- LCSW, LPC, or equivalent from an accredited graduate school.
- Five years experience in clinical and/or care management social work required and at least two years of which must be in a leadership capacity.
- Proficient user of technology (smart phone/tablet/laptop) and experience using MS Office applications required
- EHR/EMR database experience a plus
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position will be required to spend on average 2-3 days per week in all our current and future Greater Philadelphia Area offices each week, virtual work will also be optional on the other days. Travel is a must.
- All prospective employees must pass a criminal background check and any security clearances required by the department to which the employee is assigned.
- Employee must have a safe driving record on file with the Department of Motor Vehicles in the state in which the employee is licensed to drive and provide a valid driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance at time of employment.
- Employee must maintain a valid driver’s license and carry liability insurance as a condition of continued employment.
- Employee must meet agency vaccination requirements at hire and as required by policy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
